ICELAND EXPRESS FLIGHT'S UNAFFECTED BY ERUPTION

Iceland Express’ flights to and from the UK have been unaffected following the eruption of Iceland’s Grimsvotn volcano.  The twice daily twice daily scheduled flights from Stansted to Reykjavik will remain as normal.

The eruption of the volcano, situated in eastern Iceland, is thought to have been caused by the expansion of a lake under a glacier on Grimsvotn.  However no one is at risk as the area is unpopulated.

Ólafur Hauksson, Marketing Manager of Iceland Express commented.  “We would like to ensure all of our passengers that this recent volcanic eruption has not affected our flight path in any way and passenger safety is paramount to us at Iceland Express.”
